CITCM offers a unique Double Major program that is student loan eligible.
The program incorporates all of the specialized acupuncture training with a comprehensive study in traditional Chinese herbology. The Double Major is for students who wish to learn concurrently advanced Chinese medicine theories, different natural healing modalities such as Qi Gong, Tai Ji, food and nutrition therapy, cupping, massage, with a focus on acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine.
Throughout the program students will become proficient in acupuncture and advanced traditional Chinese medicine using individualized herbal prescriptions and herbal nutrition therapy. This allows graduates a distinct advantage in their future practice.
The Double Major in Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine streamlines the process by offering more education to students for the same tuition as the Acupuncture Diploma program. Upon completion, the graduate will be awarded the Acupuncture Diploma as well as the Doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine Diploma. Graduates are eligible to write the Pan Canadian TCM Acupuncturist examination facilitated by the College and Association of Acupuncturists of Alberta (CAAA).
All four years of the program are eligible for student loans.
