The Unique WE Integrated Orthopedic Massage

Integrating Eastern therapies into your massage therapy practice incorporates the knowledge of harmonizing essential elements throughout the body. These ancient therapeutic bodywork methods have been used successfully for thousands of years to treat a wide variety of illnesses. In eastern modalities, you will have your skills in Cupping, Gua Sha, Tui Na, Acupressure, Shiatsu, Thai massage, Auricular therapy, tongue diagnosis, and food therapy. These skills will complement your career practice and advancement.

Western modalities, current medical research and innovations in health and wellness are essential components of holistic client care. You will learn and be trained in depth in western massages with focus on orthopedic massage. Orthopedic massage is treatment application following orthopedic examination, a protocol of soft tissue and body mechanic assessment, and accurate technical delivery, to achieve an optimum treatment outcome for muscular and skeleton abnormalities.

Under the supervision and coaching of Dr. Lanre Salami, who is the pioneer of Orthopedic Massage Therapy, students excel their knowledge, clinical applications and patient care, mastering full assessment of patient’s posture, bones, and muscles to get a full scope of the issues. Then they are able to create a thorough treatment plan and deliver a massage using the orthopedic massage technique to gain the most effective results.

Work as Massage Practitioner in One-Year

After the first year, interns can start their career as a massage therapist as long as they are still enrolled in the second year of the 2200 hours massage program. Your skills and abilities give you the possibility to work wherever there is a demand for massage and holistic healthcare.

    Transfer Between Program Flexibility

Both the Double Major and the Massage diploma programs share approximately 1 full year of courses that are required for both programs.  As such approximately one year of transfer credit is available towards the four years Double Major Acupuncture/Doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine diplomas program for students who first complete the 2200 hours WE Integrated Orthopedic Massage diploma program.

This allows a student to complete the Double Major program in 3 years instead of 4 years and a graduate is able to work as a Registered Massage Therapist while finishing the three years of schooling for the Acupuncture/DTCM program.

There are many students who are enrolled and learning all the CITCM programs to increase their healing modalities.  A part of CITCM College’s “Fulfilled Learning” motto is that you never stop acquiring skills and knowledge. You will see the results of becoming a WE Integrated Orthopedic Massage therapist and you will want to learn more.
