Dr. Michelle Phillips is a Traditional Chinese Medical Doctor and a Registered Acupuncturist. She is the president of the AATCMD and a committee member for the CAAA. Her private practice, SynerQi Acupuncture & TCM, is currently located in Spruce Grove, Alberta. It is an Integrative Medicine Clinic that combines the art and the science of Traditional Chinese Medicine to help heal people and the animals they love.
Her past experience includes being an instructor at CITCM, Grant MacEwan University, and working for many years in various teaching hospitals across Canada in the field of medical/clinical genetics, specializing in hereditary cancer syndromes. Oncology is one of her passions and continues to be a special interest in her TCM practice. The other area of interest near and dear to her heart is working with animals. Although horses and dogs are the animals Dr. Phillips works with most commonly, she has had amazing opportunities to help other 4-leggeds such as pigs and donkeys. She has studied and performs Equine/Canine Massage therapy and Equine/Canine Acupuncture, Acupressure, and Acutonics. Chinese herbal medicine is an integral part of her practice, whether it be for people or animals. Customized formulations can be provided, along with classic formulas commonly used in TCM.
In order to practice medicine well, Dr. Phillips believes that one must strive to provide patients with the care and service they seek in a way that promotes comfort, strength, and empowerment. In recognition of the many healing modalities available and the benefits they may provide, Dr. Phillips is happy to collaborate with other healthcare practitioners involved in your care or the care of your pet.
The art of healing comes from nature, not from the physician. Therefore, the physician must start from nature, with an open mind. Philipus Aureolus Paracelsus
