Lake Zhu

Lake is Registered Acupuncturist and practitioner of Traditional Chinese Medicine. He is a graduate of CITCM since 2013.

Lake also has a degree in Engineering from University of Saskatchewan since 1995. He followed his spiritual calling after a meditation retreat in Thailand which lead him to gave up his engineering career at Shell Canada and lived as a monastic in Forest Traditions Of Buddhism in Thailand and Burma. During these times he practiced long term meditation and studied Qigong, TaiChi and Yoga. He has been teaching Martial Arts, Tai Chi, Meditation and other mind/body programs for MRU and the City of Calgary for the last 17 years.

Lake works as a Registered Acupuncturist and Doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine at Mount Royal University wellness centre since 2013. He treats wide range issues from Stress, Depression, Anxiety, Insomnia, Digestive Disorders, Fertility, Headache, Migraines, Tension, Stroke, PTSD, as well as treating any type of pain and injuries.

Lake is strong advocate of using simple, preventative and natural method of maintain well-being to avoid complex health interventions. Lake’s purpose and passion in life is to share, explore, and experience well being with his community.
