Founded in 2004 by Dr. Xia Cheng, CITCM is committed to providing high-quality education in alternative medicine, including acupuncture, massage, Chinese herbal medicine. The college integrates Eastern and Western philosophy, emphasizes hands-on clinical practice, and supports students through small, interactive classes tailored to diverse learning styles.
Through a partnership with Chengdu University of TCM, students can pursue a bachelor’s degree with a 5-month intensive internship at university hospitals under renowned professors and doctors.
As Canada’s leading acupuncture and TCM college, CITCM features modern classrooms, a state-of-the-art clinical training facility, a comprehensive curriculum, and a vibrant campus that designed to inspire excellence in learning, clinical practice, and patient care.
Our Mission
At the Canadian Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine, we train and educate highly skilled Acupuncturists, TCM Doctors, and Massage Therapists utilizing a superior learning environment with experienced, enthusiastic, and knowledgeable professionals.
We promote the integration of Traditional Chinese Medicine with Western medicine. We strive to treat patient illness and maintain health through natural medicine and to educate society to understand and view the body, mind, and spirit as a whole.

The anniversary was coincided with 2024 North American Conference on Acupuncture/TCM Clinic & Research hosted by CITCM, CDUTCM, AACMC, and CDUTCM NAAA. It brought together numerous renowned experts and scholars from the TCM and acupuncture fields worldwide. It focused on clinical and research advancements in three major areas: pain management, infertility, and cosmetic acupuncture. The 14 invited speakers included Jin Guanyuan, Liu Meiqing, Cheng Xia, Kang Qiao, Zhu Hongqiu, You Bing, Deng Yun, Kyle Ryley, Yang Jie, Huang Guojian, Li Xiang, Guo Jing, Henry Tarazona, and Mao Shizhi. In addition, a Chengdu University of TCM Graduate Forum was held before the conference, featuring presentations by 10 master’s and doctoral students.
